For lovers of Reproduction fabrics and patterns, Pieces of the Past is a must! Australian quilt designer, Michelle Yeo has created the 9 feature blocks for this program and 9 shops from around Australia are each participating to create their own individual finished quilt.
Pieces of the Past is designed around Judie Rothermel’s Civil War Tribute fabric collection, released to commemorate next year’s 150th anniversary of the outbreak of the American Civil War.
To create your own Pieces of the Past, you will need to purchase all 9 blocks; the patterns and fabric kits are available individually from each of the participating stores (see www.piecesofthepast.com.au for full details). Our feature block is Block 7 - see pattern cover at left. Then choose one of the 9 finished quilt patterns to create your own heirloom.
We are pleased to present our finished quilt "Reflections of the Past". Measuring 72” x 72” (183 x 183cm), it reflects the quilt designs of the Civil War era whilst looking quite at home in today’s modern décor.
